Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) Colorado Speaker Series NEXT MEETING: Thursday, March 10 @ 3:00 – 4:30pm The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) Colorado is pleased to announce our 2022 lineup for our CNU Colorado Speaker Series. Each talk is a short presentation followed by a discussion around the principles of new urbanism and the CNU Colorado Board meeting. All are welcome and we encourage you to stay for our CNU Colorado Board Meeting to find out about the projects we are working on.  About our Featured Guest: Our next board meeting will feature Marianne Stuck from Design Workshop to discuss her division’s D-PRAT technical assistance program, highlighting urban design and historic preservation in Center, CO.

Marianne Stuck is an Urban Designer, certified Planner and Associate with Design Workshop. With over twelve years of international design experience, she has been responsible for concept development through construction documentation, in projects ranging from small public space interventions, streetscapes, corridor design and planned communities to large urban planning projects which defined design guidelines for entire cities. Her background in architecture and urban design has helped her effectively link design with broader goals of thoughtful urbanization while pursuing her interest that include LEED ND, tactical urbanism and social justice. She also had the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of urban design as a discipline in Chile through numerous teaching appointments and has participated in various panels at the CNU national conference addressing issues of mobility, revitalization and displacement. She has been part of the APA Urban Design and Preservation division leadership team since 2019 and has taken the leading role to organize and launch the divisions technical assistance program (D-PRAT).  Learn more about Design Workshop here.
